Throughout the mourning period for HRH Queen Elizabeth II, I am reminded of all the families who lost loved ones to Covid-19 and who couldn’t see their loved ones before they passed.
Times have changed, people have changed, but no matter our values, or beliefs, in these difficult times, it is important to show kindness and to show respect. We are all fighting the same Covid battles. Whether you have Covid yourself, or you have family who have Covid, or you know someone, we have all been affected.
Coming together and showing kindness and respect, shows a humanistic side, but in our every day that isn't the case, attitudes have changed. Kindness and respect have slowly dissipated through Brexit and Covid-19. It is time to mirror back respect and kindness into our communities, in society and in the world.
We’re all fighting personal battles, some of those battles we may not be addressing or talking about, but they’re battles that come from within each of us. These are not easy times. As Mahatma Gandhi, Buddha Mother Teresa, and all the greats advocated, we all need the support, we all need to work together, we should all show kindness and respect.
