Yes, that truly does work, once people decide they actually want to work together. The biggest problem I have seen is people don't seem to want to work together for a million different reasons.
My dream is for me to do a few of my own little things to make the world a better place. It's the least I can do... I will just have to try not to have too many expectations for what other people will do.
I have seen what you have been able to do and you have been such a tremendous power of example to me as to what one person can really do! Hopefully one day we can meet in person so that I can thank you in person.
Thanks. It's a different world. Yes, you're not alone Randy in seeing the changes. I pray it changes. It needs to. The saying: 'be the change you want to see in the world' does wonders for your self-esteem, for your mental health, when you change.
I was thinking about this quote when reading about the 'COP27 Climate Change Conference' earlier today.
Small acts of kindness are important. If ever there was a time to come together to address an issue affecting us all, it is now. If we all make small reductions in our impact on climate change we can achieve huge things, before it's too late and we wished we had acted sooner.
As far as climate change is concerned, the natural world, future generations and lives are depending on us.
I write about these things, I put quotes out for that exact same reason. We are in control for now, but that will change if we don't pull back.
We're already seeing the effects of climate change. Floods are now common place, but when I was growing up floods weren't on the radar and if it was, it was classed as a freak of nature, a one off.
Start with small acts of kindness, acting on empathy, compassion, patience and understanding. Just imagine how much better the world would function with those traits in abundance.
Support and watching out for each other has never been so important.
