A Shared Space for Reflection

Over time, The CP Diary has become more than a place for personal reflection. What began as a way for Ilana Estelle to make sense of her thoughts and experiences has gradually evolved into something broader: an ongoing exploration of what it means to live with, question, and understand mental health.

Built over years of writing, it is no longer simply a collection of moments, but a space shaped by honesty, growth, and the quiet recognition that our thoughts are rarely experienced alone. The author knows what it is like to live with mental health struggles, anxiety, and depression – to be and feel isolated.

She continues to write because it helps her, but she also knows she is not the only one who struggles. It is human nature to carry thoughts we don't talk about, questions we choose not to ask, and feelings or experiences we do not fully understand or know how to engage with. If something she writes helps even one person feel less alone, or encourages them to reflect on their own mental health, then The CP Diary is worth sharing.

Not everything will resonate with everyone, and that's okay. Not everything is meant to be interpreted or analysed literally. Sometimes, what the author writes is simply a snapshot of a moment – a feeling, or a question many of us are quietly working through. It offers the reader a different perspective.

Ilana Estelle is a mental health and wellbeing advocate who combines educational insight with her personal experience of living with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities. She holds diplomas in Counselling, Diet and Nutrition, Nutritional Therapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling, and Stress Management. Through her writing, Ilana supports others in navigating their emotional, mental, and physical health challenges. In addition to writing for The CP Diary, her work has appeared in healthy lifestyle magazines. Ilana is also the author of three books: Cerebral Palsy: A Story – Finding the Calm After the Storm, Spirituality, Healing and Me, and Survival: The Covid Years – Time for Change.
