  1. Yes, so I guess this means sort out your issues sooner rather than later, because it's only going to hurt a whole lot more later on.

I can see that but sometimes I'm just not in the right place to tackle everything straight away. I sometimes need to chew it over or even ignore it for a while before I sort it out. Just the way I work.

    1. Yes, whatever is painful that we choose to ignore will eventually come back to us for us to deal with. It's so important to make sure we do.

Nothing ever really goes away in my experience. It just comes back when we least expect it.

  2. This is absolutely true. We also numb our pain with untruths, deceptive politicians and destructive religions that raise their flock to pray to God while soldiers slaughter families in their righteous names.

We medicate ourselves to numbness to ease the pain of life in so many ways; but reading blogs from The CP Diary is a great way to deal with life.

    1. Awww thanks Tim. Yes I am sure when we come to think about there are many reasons why we numb the pain.

Life isn't easy, I think it's probably the reason why we choose to numb the pain, through any disappointments, stress, whatever we have to deal with that causes us emotional pain.

  3. That's so true, but not everyone thinks that is so. They are the ones that learn the hard way. I'm sure they wished they dealt with it better. That's part of life though, having people on both sides of the same experiences.

Luckily there are therapists for those who can't get passed something and need to work it out.

I've pretty much dealt with things the first time around. I chose not to numb the pain (probably because I'm pretty clean living).

    1. Thanks Maria. I agree and think you're right.

Even if we decided to numb the pain, we'd end up re-visiting those experience further down the line. Dealing with any issues first time round, is the best thing and for those of us who can't, as you rightly say counselling may help.
