Being emotionally balanced being 'emotionally stable' is something we all need to be. It is not something we think about unless we're struggling, but without it we will begin to struggle.

Emotional stability

Emotional stability helps us stay grounded and not panic when things go awry. The other side of emotional stability is resilience, both needed by us to withstand hardships. Having emotional stability helps us keep our cool under stress.

Our Emotional Responses

It's helps us weigh up the pros and cons without us getting knocked back. But our initial emotional response to how we see negativity is more negative than it probably needs to be. A different perspective is what is needed here.

Checks and Balances

When we choose to look at our circumstances in a way that creates positivity, we will find answers. Like ‘karma’ checks and balances, so does life. As part of that life, we innately have the tools to work things out for ourselves, but we must look for and apply those tools to everyday situations.

Life is about possibilities

And where we think we can’t or don’t know something, with those acquired tools we can and often do surprise ourselves. Life is about possibilities, it’s important we think about those when we look at our issues. All issues carry a lesson. Things are not always black and white.

Look for the positives

When we choose to look for the positives through the negatives, through another 'perspective' or through our 'intuition,' we’re looking at our experiences from a different side of the lens and that will always give us a more positive understanding of our lessons and our experiences.

  1. Yes, this isn't something I know a lot about, other than that brief moment when I have balance, as they go from way up to all the way down.

Considering how I grew up, it's no wonder I end up only seeing the negatives in every situation. I need to learn to focus more on the positives, no matter what the situation may be.

I wasn't exactly allowed to see any other perspectives there may have been at the time, seeing as we were pretty much forced to wear blinders. No matter what was going on, we were supposed to ignore the herd of elephants stampeding through our living room.

I have somehow managed to find some sense of emotional balance, through some kind of miracle, where I can honestly say that most of the time I feel okay, neither good or bad.

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes, your last paragraph sums up your response and that's positive.

We live what we know, but it's always good to try to get past that to live the life we need to live, through change. So whatever it is you're doing to help you feel okay, just keep doing it, because it is obviously working.

  2. It's not always clear when we suffer blows to the back of our heads, emotional blows that chew on us for what seems like forever.

I'm so glad I read this blog today.

    1. Thanks Tim. Our 'perspective' and 'intuition' allow things to be clear, but sadly they're nowhere to be seen.

I wouldn't be able to write in the manner that I do without 'perspective' or 'intuition.' Both bring clarity into my life and to my experiences, where I had none.

It makes me happy that my blog helped you today. It shows my thoughts are hitting the mark.
