Looking forwards means we're looking to the future, we're taking control. It puts us in a healthier head space, and as long as we're not looking forwards to ignore the past on the things we have to deal with, we should be okay.

When we presently live our lives, we're telling others our life matters and we're getting on with things. Living in the present and looking forwards, means we’re looking at the distance in the direction we're intending to go, but it’s important that before we do that, we make sure that what’s behind us is clear.

In other words, we're comfortable with our choices up to that point of looking forwards. If there are skeletons in our past, looking forwards will never be able to stop those skeletons in the closet, coming back.

  1. We all make mistakes and in doing so we create lessons, so that we can learn from them and move forward.

Every day should be a new beginning. Every day we have a choice of how we want to spend the day, and by living in the past we are not starting a new beginning.

    1. Thanks. Yes, I agree and we do. Mistakes are simply lessons, ones that we can correct, once corrected, we can start a new beginning, as you say.

The problem we have is we see mistakes as a failing. They're not failings, they're an opportunity to move forwards, to create new opportunities.
