In 12 years of writing, it has never been my way to push anyone to do what I do, just because I do it. I am asking you today.
To my readers, thank you. You will already understand the importance of being proactive on your mental health and your mental wellbeing. But without taking control of our mental health we can all get ill. Losing one parent early to cancer, I have seen first-hand how that works.
The 'Universal Truth' Blogs
My blogs are intuitive, they're insightful and they're based on what each of us deal with, through ‘universal truths.' They are our truths to take on board. It is important to think about what ignoring the truth means, in terms of good mental health.
Brexit and the Pandemic
In Brexit and the pandemic, mental health has taken a nose-dive. It hasn't been on the radar, it's not that we don't or didn't in the early days see it as important, it was too much to deal with. But our key to wellness will always be through mental health. In these times, it has never been more important that we change the way we approach and deal with 'us' with our mental health, to avoid the wake-up calls around sickness. Good practices can help you manage your wellness.
Mental Wellness is the full package
For those who are continuing to apply good physical practices that is excellent. To get the whole package, you also need to apply good emotional practices so that you take control of your mental health. Without good mental health practices, your physical health can fall by the wayside.
The key to wellness is good mental health and taking control.
Whatever your practices have been:
In 2022,
Wellness equals commitment
The key to wellness is commitment to mind and body, and that starts with your mental health. Are you ready to indulge in a habit that lasts, a habit that encourages you to explore, to come to terms with and your experiences; a habit that helps you pay forward and give back, a habit that continues to give you understanding on the life you’ve lived? I’m talking books... I'm talking my books!
Pick up a Book
In 2022, in the pandemic, our lives are dictated by our interaction with technology, but the sensation of picking up and reading a book has been proved to make us happier and helps encourage us to make life-changing decisions. Through reading, we block out all the other noise in our head, we become centred, we become focused, we are calm.
Calm is something we should want to aspire to. Opening a book is nothing like opening an app; books are deep, deliberate, and purposeful. The right books encourage us to change the way we perceive and think about the way we live our lives.
My ‘Books’
My books are deep, deliberate and purposeful. Given the state of mental health in 2022 and the fact that we are the key to our own wellness, perhaps it’s time for us to make better choices.
Today is WorldBookDay and taking care of the mind, body and soul has never been so important. The key to wellness is acting on it. The pandemic is a good time to make mental health a priority.
My books deal with mental health. You can grab paperback and Kindle copies on Amazon, or through the following link https://linktr.ee/Ilana_Estelle
For those of us who continue to read your blogs, it's not difficult to see a pattern emerging on mental health, from when you first started your blog 12 years ago.
In 2022, the people I speak to through work, continue to maintain society has changed and they do feel anxious. Many of those dealing with anxiety, didn't have anxiety before Covid-19. Its handling has very much brought about added stress.
You continue to give us lots of reasons why we should buy your books and yet the only reason that matters is that in Covid-19 (and let's face it, it's not gone even though the UK government have chosen to ignore it) your blogs give us insight into how we can make the changes and that is a very powerful and unique thing indeed.
As you say, the world is digital, but books give so much more. Having read your books, your books are deep, deliberate and purposeful. Your book can change your perceptions, which can change your life. Your books should be on EVERYONE'S bookcase. No exception.
Thanks. I am happy to leave your response with you. I would just add, for the reasons you mention, I hope people will take advantage of the @AmazonKindle offer.
It's not about buying the book (although it is helpful) it's what others will get out of it.
All proceeds will go to charity.
