“If you’re not living your truth, you’re living a lie.” – Joseph Curiale

It's so true, live your truth or live a lie. That’s the choice. The world is changed. But not being authentic or genuine, means a continued life of lies and running from what is your authentic self.

Caring and being our authentic selves

We should want to care, want to change, we should want to be authentic. It’s not difficult to do, we should just want to make a difference, to be tolerant, to be patient and understanding and to give a little more.

When you tell lies to yourself and to the rest of the world, you do so at a cost to your mental and emotional health. Without being genuine and authentic, you can never see recovery, you may never get to live a life of peace. Lies almost always invite illness in.

Lies and Manipulation

But it’s not just about lies, it's also about manipulation. The more you lie, the more you manipulate and coerce others into believing your lies. And unless those others, start reading between the lies on what you tell them, you will always be believed.

Lying to yourself has become easier because so many people hide their authentic selves. It started with Brexit in the UK and it continues in Covid-19. It has become easier to tell others what you want them to hear. For whatever reason you may lie or you’re conservative with the truth, in the longer term it may always play havoc with longevity, with your health. All conversations are conversations with the universe.

There's something magical about telling the truth

For those who speak the truth, there is always something magical about being able to wake up on a morning knowing you speak the truth, you’re authentic and genuine, knowing that your words mean something, that your words matter. That you’re truthful.
