Food for thought: “He that flings dirt at another dirties himself most.” THOMAS FULLER This is a good reminder that when we speak badly of others or try to bring someone down, it often says more about us than it does about ...

  1. Yes, coming from a dysfunctional family seems to be the norm nowadays now that people are actually admitting to it.

The only movie that has come close to my childhood was the movie Glass Castle with Woody Harrelson. I have actually been talking to my brother quite a bit lately and he can attest to the fact of how insane it was because he was there too.

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes, it's more common than we think. But I still think we can pull some of it back, by standing back and thinking about things.

We tend to lead through our unconscious thoughts instead of consciously thinking about things, how we can make our lives and our relationships better.

Although that's not always down to us, and the pandemic has changed things, I believe we can all contribute positively to our relationships.

  2. We all experience conflict and chaos in families. That has become normalised.

We need to see the issues around a person's toxic behaviour, which they need to address, rather than relating the cycle ourselves, because then our behaviour becomes toxic.

I find dipping into your blog, helps a lot in recognising the signs and the need for change.

    1. I am sure I am not alone in saying I have been around toxic behaviour. It has become normalised. In families it's called dysfunctional behaviour.

Narcissism is also another disorder that is in families also. I'm glad you find dipping into my blog helps you recognise the signs and the need for change. I hope more people will.

While the world is changed, my blog is consistent in terms of its messages.
