Reading non-fiction books about mental health can be a valuable way to gain knowledge and insight into mental health conditions, treatments and coping strategies. Mental health books can provide information of personal stories from individuals who have experienced mental health challenges.

My non-fiction Books

This is what my books do. Cerebral Palsy: A Story explores mental health challenges around finding about a disability late; "Spirituality, Healing and Me" examines my healing journey around my spiritual beliefs; "Survival: The Covid Years" explores the world's unprecedented mental health challenges we have all faced, written around autism.

Better understanding of 'mental health'

So, non-fiction books are multifaceted. With continued reading they can help support the reader to better understand their mental health issues, so that they can make their own changes, reduce stigma and learn how to support themselves or loved ones who may also be struggling. Additionally, reading mental health books can inspire you, the reader, to practice self-care and advocate for better mental health resources for yourselves.

Experiences don't go away just because we choose to ignore or bury them. We have all faced trauma in life, it's part of life, losing a loved one, illness; the list is endless. We have all faced trauma through Covid-19.
