When I began The CP Diary, it was never with the intention of becoming an authority – it was simply my way of making sense of my life with a disability I knew nothing about, my health, and the challenges I lived with daily. Natural health insights have always been something I was interested in, ever since I was old enough to understand. But I also understand the responsibility that comes with writing about emotional health and wellbeing – as well as the importance of being properly qualified in these areas.
I write from a universal standpoint, consistently publishing high-quality content that explores deep, spiritual and universal truths within a focused niche, sometimes on topics that affect us all every day.
In 2025, the world has changed, and in today’s digital landscape – where information spreads quickly and not all of it is trustworthy – it is even more important than ever to be transparent about where knowledge comes from and to credit the work behind the words. When I first started writing in 2010, it wasn’t that way. Honesty and trustworthiness were valued far more, with only a minority who didn’t match their words or integrity.
The CP Diary started as a personal blog – an emotional health blog, based on holistic living with a mind-body connection in mind. While it isn’t always easy to put myself front and centre, I do so with the aim of helping others who may lack emotional support – I know firsthand how difficult that can be.
I hold several diplomas in subjects that are important to me, subjects that I relate to and connect well with. The holistic side of my life has always been incredibly important. It is the backbone to better health. For more structured topics, however, I have chosen to cite other experts' rather than rely on my own qualifications, as some readers may be skeptical when one applies their own credentials to their work. Additionally, when I began, the climate was different – people were generally considered trustworthy, and there was less need to establish credibility formally. Honesty and integrity were the norm, so emphasising formal qualifications wasn't necessary.
My qualifications are:
Oxford College (OCODL):
Diploma in Counselling
Diploma in Diet and Nutrition (Distinction)
Diploma in Nutritional Therapy (Distinction)
The School of Natural Health Sciences (S.N.H.S.)
Diploma in Stress Management
Diploma in Psychotherapy & Counselling
Although I don’t practise professionally in these fields, my studies continue to shape how I write and think about things – around the mind-body connection, emotional health, lifestyle and wellbeing. I also combine my personal spiritual insights together with ongoing research in my more topical blogs, using trusted expert references, to offer a well-rounded and thoughtful view on those particular blogs.
From the beginning, my vision for The CP Diary has always been to create honest, open and transparent conversations – a place where readers may reflect and relate, so that they feel less alone in what they’re going through.
Ultimately, we all have our own challenges and by sharing information and insight through The CP Diary – I hope I am helping to make a difference.
