Ilana Estelle is a mental health and wellbeing advocate who combines educational insight with her personal experience of living with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities.
She holds diplomas in Counselling, Diet and Nutrition, Nutritional Therapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling, and Stress Management. Through her writing, Ilana supports others in navigating their emotional, mental, and physical health challenges.
In addition to writing for The CP Diary, her work has appeared in healthy lifestyle magazines.
Ilana is also the author of three books: Cerebral Palsy: A Story – Finding the Calm After the Storm, Spirituality, Healing and Me, and Survival: The Covid Years – Time for Change.

Yes gratitude can be and should be the essence of the human condition, you're right; but unfortunately we don't live with gratitude in the forefront of our minds and therefore our lives don't play out that way.
We will have gratitude when we are thankful for our lives through appreciation, experiencing and enjoying what we do and for simply being who we are with no strings attached to any outside influences. When we have all of these things, we will value our experiences more and that will have an impact in other areas of our lives, through work and play.
When we can see the beauty in our lives and in each other, art and gratitude become part of that equation. Art simply just isn't art in the artistic sense, it's in everything where we are able to see beauty and with beauty comes gratitude.
