If the coronavirus is teaching us one thing, it's time to change our lifestyles. What we do now is important if we are, our children and our children’s children are to have a future.
Thinking about Change
We should all change the way we live, or at least think about change. If we made the call years ago, we wouldn’t have the coronavirus now. Not to change ourselves, or our lifestyles moving forward is going to cost more lives, including climate change.
We Should Reinvent Ourselves
We may be reluctant to reinvent ourselves, but it's important if we and the world is to heal. Both are sick. It is also beneficial for our mental and emotional health. We need to start caring about each other and our planet.
The Coronavirus and Change
We should be changed people through the coronavirus. We should work on de-cluttering our lives. Making simple changes to lifestyle. You may also want to include people who are making you feel challenged as part of your declutter. Don't stop at family, friends or work colleagues. Those you choose to have in your life, should have your back.
The virus has completely upended our lives. Many people are confined to their homes and the way we move through, work in and think about our cities has changed dramatically.
Now is the time for us to consider which of these adjustments will endure beyond the end of the pandemic, what life might look like on the other side and most importantly what we can do to change the way we interact with each other and the planet.
Whilst we don't know any of the answers yet, we do know the need is for change throughout all levels of our society, all over the globe.
When you say, 'now is the time for us to consider which of these adjustments will endure' - we must if we are to live. One death is one too many.
The sad reality is that the coronavirus has not only identified our weaknesses, it has also identified rifts amongst the human species, sparking anger and disagreements throughout.
Not everyone agrees and is working together for the greater good, we couldn't be more further apart. We must learn to interact with each other better so that together we are able to save the planet.
We're failing ourselves, our families and future generations because we're only thinking about ourselves.
The virus has definitely pointed out the need for people to change their ways but there will always be certain people who refuse to, even if it means endangering their own lives.
The saddest part is that with their lack of concern for themselves, they're also endangering everyone else and they don't seem to give a damn.
I have seen examples in the local hardware store, where most people are wearing face masks, but then there are people who aren't wearing them who shouldn't be allowed to enter the store.
Seriously, what's the point of wearing a face mask but then their kids aren't wearing one, which puts them at risk? It's ridiculous and selfish. They don't seem to care.
Thanks Randy. Yes, it's a difficult one. When we care, we expect others to care, the majority of us do, but then the minority spoil it for the rest of us.
When it comes to life and death situations like this, it becomes even more important. It's not ideal or right, but if you happen to be out at the same time, remember to wash your hands and stay your 2M distance.
It's not ideal, they will learn the hard way themselves, but for us we must take care of ourselves.
