  1. I completely agree with this quote. It is essential that we ask ourselves if we are living the life we want to live, making our choices based on our own wants, beliefs, and values, or whether we are living our life based on the expectations of those around us.

I wonder how many of us can truly say that we really are living our own lives? It will be a shame to admit it only when our lives are replayed back to us in spirit, rather than us acting now.

    1. Yes, I agree and I think you're right. Many of us will continue our lives without thinking about whether what we're doing is what we really want.

Right now it's difficult to change anything. Where decisions are inflicted on us, things will never work out until our circumstances change. My story is testament to that.

  2. Wishing is usually considered a good thing, but be careful what you wish for. The life you think will make you happy may also make you unhappy.

For my life to truly mean something, it must be bundled with compassion, empathy and simplicity. Otherwise, I may live a life that I will eventually reject.

All this striving for super spectacular, when what we really need is often under our nose.

    1. Thanks Tim. Yes, a human failing, when what is under our nose is snatched away too soon because we're not paying attention, wishing our lives were different.

Having the life I've had with all the trauma I've had to live through ,has made me see and think about and see my life differently.

I've had to learn the hard way and most of us do, but it's not to say we can't have what you talk about. You don't necessarily have to go through trauma to appreciate having things like compassion, empathy and simplicity.

Like you, those qualities are open to everyone, regardless of their experiences or life. I've had to learn and work through many hardships, but those qualities according to my dad were always there.
