Even as a small child with my problems around a disability I didn’t know I had, I unconsciously held on to the belief that I was more than I was dealing with, in the wider world, the bigger context of who I was. I was sure I would have a lot to offer other people.

For years I honed-in on my ‘bad leg and foot’ and ‘my education’ and couldn’t get past those. I would continually blame myself until I began to see that I wasn’t to blame. I could see that blaming myself for the things I had no control over, was making me mentally ill, and I needed to change.

So yes, what we get to deal with is a small part of who we are. We will always have uncertainties, but it is important not to make those bigger than who we are, and what we have to offer. Underneath, uncertainties are just a small fraction of who we are.

Growing up I lived amongst negativity, so it became easy to hone-in-on all the negative, because others allowed that to happen. Decades on and through my 'universal' writing, my positivity is attracting more positivity.
