Covid-19 has highlighted many discrepancies, one of which is mental health. Mental Health is never far away and yet it’s something we don’t think about, because it's too difficult for us to deal with. For many its ignored.
We should all address mental health
Mental health is one of those things that we all need to get a grip on. It’s one of those things that never goes away, it's one of those things that continues to be ignored, put on the back burner, but it comes at a cost.
Mental health issues are never far away and I have seen first-hand what happens when you don’t address mental health. I watched someone close to me struggle with her mental health, until her mental health got the better of her.
Mental health isn’t tangible, it’s not something you see, it’s something you feel. It’s in your unconscious, it’s a memory, it’s a difficulty, it’s an issue that needs dealing with.
Learning to deal with our issues
It’s learning to think about and deal with those issues. It’s accepting the issues are there, accepting that any issue you have, is to do with mental health. Taking action to deal with your issues, can change how you really feel.
It is accepting help, and being ready to do what it takes; to accept you're living in difficult times, and it's okay to call upon reinforcements. My Book Cerebral Palsy: A Story ‘Finding the Calm After the Storm’ is 'reinforcement.'
As I take myself through my own journey, I open the door on mental health for anyone interested in tackling their own mental health. Issues come back, those shouldn't be ignored.
My books deal with mental health and mental health issues. You can grab paperback and Kindle copies on Amazon, or through the following link https://linktr.ee/Ilana_Estelle
Understanding the effects of the COVID‐19 pandemic on our mental health is just as important and in the longer term more important, as understanding its effect on our physical health.
With mental health symptoms increasing dramatically during the pandemic, nurturing mental wellness has become a collective social responsibility.
Your website and book play an important part in our understanding, the importance of our mental health and what we can do to look after it. I would encourage people to pick up a copy.
Thanks. I hope I can prove to you and others reading this, my book is very much worth consideration, even more so in Covid-19. It can help each of us adjust our sails, to navigate our life around what we deal with.
There are no guarantees when it comes to mental health. Mental health issues can run in families. Mental health issues can present themselves, when we least expect them to.
These are not normal times. It is easy for mental health to take a knock. My book can help with that. I know what it's like to struggle with mental health through autism. Through my books I am a mental health advocate.
Any form of mental illness is scary. Just carrying issues from our childhood can turn into mental health problems. We're not born with mental health problems, but through life we can pick up mental health issues.
