'Voices like The CP Diary brings us together collectively to fight this virus, with the spirit of common sense and facts. Thank you for that, Ilana' – Tim.

Covid-19

As I bring 2021 to a close on my blog, my attentions are turned to Covid-19 again. Over the last couple of years since the UK got to hear about Covid, I have tirelessly intuitively continued to source my own insightful facts.

The facts, as you say Tim, are 'in the spirit of common sense and facts' the facts we’re not being told, so that we all get to understand the issues more clearly.

Hearing anecdotal stories of the Covid vaccine, it's become easier to understand why many people think the Covid vaccines aren't right for them. But in any event, it is important to continue with the precautionary measures so that we can all stay safe.

The scientists continue to tell us that we still need to practice social distancing, wear masks and wash our hands routinely. It is the physical precautionary measures that are continuing to keep us safe.

Covid-19 vaccines

Both the AZ vaccine and Pfizer have been associated with myocarditis (inflammation of the heart) and pericarditis, (inflammation of the outer lining of the heart) and blood clots and as a result they're not free of risk. It is partly the reason why people are still hesitant in taking the current Covid vaccines.

Being double jabbed you can still catch and spread Covid, but taking the booster means you are less likely to catch Covid, and you can still spread it, therefore it is important to continue with all precautionary measures so that we can all stay safe.

We know the current Covid vaccines can prevent us from dying but taking the vaccines right now don’t stop us from catching or spreading the virus, because as we're getting back into our lives, cases are continuing to rise. The question is, if we are vaccinated, how are we still able to catch and spread the virus?

With the current vaccines, as soon as the vaccines are administered, their effectiveness declines. Depending on how strong your immunity is, scientists aren't sure how long you will be protected for and that also depends on whether your immunity is suppressed, particularly if you have an underlying condition. It also depends on how strong your immunity is.

Scientists are aware of the difficulties with the current vaccines and as a result are now working on a new needle-free Covid-19 vaccine being trialled by Southampton University that could give us ‘wide-ranging protection.' It is being produced to source out any new variants and coronaviruses.

Clinical Chief Investigator and director of the NIHE Southampton Clinical Research Facility, Saul Faust said, “This isn’t simply yet another coronavirus vaccine as it has both Covid-19 variants and future coronaviruses in its sights.” (Source: https:www.cdc.gov  https://www.piedmont.org)

Conclusion

In 2022, it is important to listen to the science, for us to stay vigilant and also continue with the necessary precautionary measures, so that we may all stay safe. In doing so, you're not only keeping yourself safe, but you're protecting the more vulnerable people of society.

I hope my Covid-19 blogs over 2021, have gone some way to help you understand the facts. Writing about universal issues on my blog and finding explanation and understanding, helps me reduce my anxiety. Dealing with autism, I am never far away from feeling overwhelmed. My writing reins me in and helps me to understand; therefore lessening my anxiety.

Happy New Year to all my readers. Thank you for reading my blogs throughout the year, also to those who have kindly responded on my blog. I hope the incoming year brings you lots of joy and happiness. Thank you also for helping make The CP Diary, such a wonderful and supportive community.

  1. 2021 has been like no other and I am glad it is coming to and end. It has been a terrible year for too many.

I read a news article today about some new data in South Africa suggesting their Omicron wave might be peaking and that would be wonderful news if true and the rest of the world followed. I would concur with your conclusion that we must all remain careful and responsible for the foreseeable future.

I know we can all look forward to more of your thought provoking blogs in 2022.

    1. Thank you. I'm pleased you think my blogs 'thought provoking.' I would like to think they provide food for thought and change.

My more personal blogs are based on my experiences and my life. The more factual blogs are based on facts that out out there in the news, or on intuitive facts that concur with the universe.

Everything I write, when you look at them in the whole, can help us change aspects of our life and contribute to a healthier lifestyle.

I hope the news you have come across with Omicron is correct and that it has peaked. It would be the best news possible. It has been a difficult year.

Working together, moving forward, I hope 2022 is a better year for everyone.

  2. We are living in separate worlds. The arguments about the vaccine and wearing masks illustrates that.

I see maskless people in public places making political statements, while the virus reek havoc on their communities. While there is room for argument, there is no room for ignorance during these turbulent times.

Thankfully, this last blog of this year serves as a reminder that we must continue to fight this virus with common sense and factual information. The CP Diary deserves praise for that.

Like Brad, I am more than happy to say goodbye to the year 2021.

    1. Happy New Year Tim. Yes, it feels like we are. Truthfully, I am not happy but always feel compelled to write on my blog about Covid-19, because I know that if I don't, my anxiety will rocket.

Your response is spot on. The problems are two fold. The vaccines and the misinformation. Although I can't speak for other governments, the facts clearly speak for themselves.

Mistakes are being made, and the science is being ignored. The issues I write about on Covid, on my blog, aren't just what is happening in the UK. You're right, it is important to think about how we're living our lives.

My blogs serve as a reminder of what is happening out there. I write the truth and the truth isn't always easy. Through my blog, I will continue to bring common sense and factual information.

Thanks for the shout-out. I appreciate it.
