  1. Your quotes certainly give us food for thought. This is a great quote. Learning to say 'no' should be on the school curriculum. We should be kind, but assertive.

    No one respects a doormat.

    1. Thanks. Yes, no one respects a doormat, it usually works the other way. From my own experiences, not everyone is happy when you stop being a doormat.

To fit in, we've got used to saying 'yes' more than we have 'no.' If something doesn't feel right and you want to say 'no' you should be allowed to say it without any recourse. Others should understand and respect that.

In the same way you say yes, you should say no if that's what you want. It is not up to others to have an opinion about it.

  2. I think selfless people have solved the mystery of life, feeding their souls through generosity, knowing the universe always has the last word.

That's not weakness or foolishness, that's wisdom.

As for the people who prey on them, that's just the kind of ignorance that evil loves.

    1. Thanks Tim. Yes, that's right. We mostly act through ignorance. In the world, there is a lot more ignorance than there is wisdom. The pandemic has turned the mirror on each of us and is showing us exactly how we are.

There are still selfless people, they are unique, always giving, who are always putting others first. There can be no excuse though, for those who only think of themselves, for those who are selfish.

The universe is asking that we tip the scales, so that we may live equal lives and be and act as a support to one another. Instead we're creating rifts and division and that's not healthy.
