Something inspirational:
"Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction."
ERICH FROMM
Understanding Erich Fromm’s Quote on Greed
This quote reminds us of the true meaning of greed: it never ends until you end it. The more you take, the more you want, the more you continue to want. Greed keeps asking for more, no matter what you give it. You think the next thing will be it, but it isn't. It just makes you want more again.
After a while, as you continue to want, you continue to buy, then you stop knowing what “enough” feels like. You just keep reaching, buying, you're tired – you're not feeling any better, and you're not sure why.
Peace has a chance to catch up, when you stop reaching, and when your compulsions for greed stop.
