We have a mind, physical body, and soul. Although our lives start in the physical form when we’re born, we have already had past lives, some with people we’re in contact with in our current life, and some people we’ve yet to meet.

Have you ever had a fleeting moment where you meet someone for the first time, and you get that feeling that you know them? That feeling comes from the soul. Some souls may feel as though they already know each other, other souls may feel at ease in each other’s company and some other souls may clash.

As we journey through life, some souls we come across may help us grow in wisdom and love, whilst other souls may help us learn difficult lessons and universal truths; and other souls we come across may not teach us anything at all, that is because they’re not learning their own lessons, so have nothing to impart on us. When that happens, it is likely that we may have something to teach them.

But it is up to each of us to learn and understand how the soul works. When we choose not to learn, we get caught up in earthly trappings that take us away from our lessons and our understanding of how the soul works. The lessons we acquire through the soul, automatically concur with the universe and how the universe works.

The connection we get from that ‘just knowing’ feeling is from our karmic past. It is a past shared history connection, catching up with us in this life.

  1. We never die, only the body does, and then we're on our way to another mysterious voyage. Traveling through existence giving clues and impregnating each other with pieces of our soul for purpose unknown to us; it's magnificent beyond comprehension.

I imagine my soul ascending to a place where all the answers are and where love is the only thing that really matters.

    1. Thanks Tim. I believe the answers we look for are actually within us.

Once we search the soul we will come to understand and will find our answers, this side and the other side of life.

  2. Wow Ilana I absolutely love this!! I agree, the body does but our souls live on for eternity making opportunities for our souls reincarnate when it needs to learn something it missed before the past incarnation.

I feel I've lived before with my daughter, my mother and other people and some I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet, but will.

I believe we're here for one purpose, or maybe many. That between the individual and God or the Universe. I believe we chart our lives before birth and from that we have to learn something by someone or other people.

We're all traveling the same road and were going to learn a lot of difficult things in our own journey's, whether it be physical, mental, or spiritual.

    1. Thanks Bonnie. I absolutely love your response and you're right.

Individually I believe we're here to do good, however that good turns out to be and that can be one of many things. Like you, I also believe we're born into this world and have lived many lives before, but that we're travelling different paths along the same road.

We will come to do our learning in this lifetime and will face a lot of difficult things on our journey's, which will test our belief systems as well as test us physically.
