  1. When I was a very young man I used to try to impress people by being a good reasonable person. Well, I quickly learned that people actually resented that. Out of ignorance they somehow considered me a threat.

Over time, I augmented my personality to prepare myself for trouble, but I never wasted my time trying to impress people anymore.

    1. Thanks Tim. Yes, you've made a valid point. What I don't get is why we can't just be nice to each other.

We all have something that we deal with, but as my experiences show, we can with work on ourselves come through the other end and change.

I don't want to say too much here, but we're not learning our lessons, we must all come together if we are to have a future.

Turning on each other isn't the answer. We must do more to support each other.

  2. This is a good quote. Sometimes we just have to accept the truth and not waste time on the wrong people.

The difficulty is seeing and understanding those people are the ones who don't deserve us.

    1. Thanks. Yes, I think your last paragraph will resonate with many of us. It takes dutch courage to walk away.

Neither is easy but it is the right thing to do in those circumstances.
