Having spoken about mental health for 12 years now on The CP Diary, I continue to raise mental health issues and highlight mental health awareness. But mental health still isn’t being spoken about.

The Pandemic and the Silence Around Mental Health

Initially, when the pandemic struck, there was talk about the impact the pandemic was having on all of us. But now the whole pandemic thing isn't being talked about and is in the doldrums – mental health isn't being spoken about at all.

Why I Keep Talking about Mental Health

I talk about mental health. I continue to talk about mental health – through my own mental health – through my blog, primarily because I deal with autism and anxiety. Cultivating mental health positively is important.

Helpful Affirmations for Mental Well-Being

  • If you’re angry, choose to work on your anger, and choose not to take your anger out on other people. You can also choose not to be rude.
  • If you deal with anxiety and you're struggling, choose not to make your struggles other people’s issue.
  • If you’re jealous, choose to explore why or how you feel jealous, and choose to deal with it in a healthy way.
  • Choose not to be a prisoner of the things you cannot change and change the things you can.
  • It is your mental health it is your responsibility – time to take control.
  • Blaming someone else gets you nowhere; taking responsibility gets you everywhere and can change your life.

The Power of Emotional Awareness

How you act on your emotions is the difference between moving forward, standing still, and blame. It is important to work on you, and how you act on your emotions.

A Choice Toward Positive Mental Health

Choose:

  • Positive mental health
  • Healing
  • Self-care
  • Self-healing
  • Self-love
  • Recovery
  • Encouragement
  • Growth
  • Positive mindset

Choose positive mental health, healing, self-care, self-healing, self-love, recovery, encouragement, growth, and positive mindset.
