  1. I'm guessing this has something to do with being able to control your life once you realize that you actually can.

I know a big part of it is actually maturing, both inside and out and making choices to actually go about changing your own life. I spent most of mine thinking there wasn't much I could do to change my life, when the opposite was actually true.

It doesn't mean that I can control the outcome but I can do a lot more to live with the results, both good and bad. Life definitely isn't fair at times, but we have to learn how to accept things as the way they are, whether we like it or not!

    1. Yes while we exist we all have the opportunity to change. When we're living our lives, we always think there isn't much we can do to change our life.

For me it was a case of not knowing how, rather than not knowing I could. I was desperate for things to change, I didn't know how to change. Even if I couldn't change my circumstances, I could have always changed my thoughts on those circumstances.
