Mental ill health is a cancer of the mind and of the emotions. We overcomplicate things.

But the reality is that without thinking about or acting on our mental health, we will mentally struggle. In some cases it can be fatal. It’s not just the mental struggles, because where we have those struggles, we will physically struggle also.

Without good mental health, we will have little in the way of good health. Good mental health is the catalyst for a stress-free, productive and a disease free life. Without good mental health we will struggle to manage our lives and even if we manage that's not really living.

Over the years I have struggled with mental health. It’s not something I shy away from, or I am embarrassed about. It's mental health. I deal with autism, around mental health issues. Even the strongest, or hardiest of people will struggle with mental health. It's the nature of how mental health works.

Life is difficult, life throws a curve ball and there is an element of struggle. No one is free of mental health issues. We all have something we deal with. Wouldn't now be a good time to come together, to support, to change how we do things?

  1. We all deal with mental health. What works for one person will be different for another, so we need to find what is right for us.

I'm hoping to keep my mental health as well as possible by having a better sleep routine, exercising more, eating healthily and connecting with nature, as soon as I have shaken off this flu!

    1. We all have mental health issues, but not everyone will choose to deal with mental health. This is the issue.

I agree it's important to find what works for you in terms of mental health. But since the pandemic began, the population have done very little to act on their mental health.

I am hoping that will change in the weeks and months to come. It needs to. External influences, things out of our control, can also interfere with our mental health and our ability to stay well.
