Something inspirational:

“The question we need to ask ourselves is whether there is any place we can stand in ourselves where we can look at all that's happening around us without freaking out, where we can be quiet enough to hear our predicament, and where we can begin to find ways of acting that are at least not contributing to further destabilization.”

  1. I agree with this.

We do need to find a quiet place where we can figure things out, think about what has happened and assess the situation and then come up with an answer.

    1. Thanks Lisa. I agree. Yes we all need quiet to contemplate where we are with what we're dealing with, find answers that won't complicate matters further, or bring about more stress, than we're possibly experiencing at that time.

It's never easy to assess all situations at a given time, but it can be done when everyone pulls together.

  2. Today was a prime example of this considering I had to deal with seeing my father to assess his current condition!

It was really heartbreaking to see him in pain and looking so despondent because he wasn't even able to get up on his own to walk to the bathroom. I had to really force myself not to detach from the moment, because there is a lot of work that needs to be done to relocate him to this area so we'll be better able to help him.

I'm hoping things will fall into place like they did with my mother so that he'll be in a place where they will be better able to help him.

    1. I hope so too Randy.

It's not easy watching a parent in constant pain. I really do hope you find a resolve on this so that you're all best able to cope whilst sorting things out for your father.

  3. In other words... look before you leap.

This hasn't always been my strong point but I can agree with this.

    1. I tend to do the opposite. I'm more cautious and will weigh up any situation first to see if I can bring closure without bringing more stress into the equation.

I agree with this quote too.
