‘Once you awaken, you will have no interest in judging those who sleep.’ - James Blanchard Cisneros.
For those of you who understand your life and what your life means, you won’t want or need to judge others, even though others may continue to judge or misjudge you. We judge when we fail to understand and instead give importance to the things that aren’t important.
The 'Human Condition'
The human condition is inevitably flawed. It’s easily remedied, although we choose not to remedy it. We know what we know, we choose not to know. For those who deal with a disability, we may fail at the first hurdle, because society has got into the habit of rejecting those who are different from the norm.
Spiritual Growth
Spiritual growth is a process of inner awakening, where we start to become aware of our 'inner-self.' We should go beyond the confines of our ego, to work on our 'inner-self.' Being aware is what is required for us and the world to heal.
We're creating our own hardships. But through adversity, we need to start creating better, more spiritual lives that tie us to the universe and each other.
Being misjudged isn't easy, we've probably all been misjudged from time to time. But being misjudged over something you don't know you deal with, must have been even more difficult.
You've proved not only to yourself, but others too how with determination you can come through being judged.
Thank you. Yes, I can't lie, it has been difficult, but it would have been even more difficult had I given up. I draw comfort from knowing I've come through to tell a tale and I love that.
It doesn't take away what I have had to deal with and what I have come through, in terms of being misjudged, but I choose not to dwell on it.
It's better not to dwell on it, Ilana. Why would you waste your time waiting for people to relinquish judgement on you?
Everyone who has judged me has been wrong as two left shoes.
Thanks Tim. Yes, any form of judgment is a human failing, but also leaves those who are judged in a worse mental space.
I see that their judgments of me were judgments of themselves. At the time those thoughts weren't part of the equation.
I think when we can and do understand more we're less likely to be offended or take offence. It's on them, certainly not on us.
'Everyone who has judged me has been wrong as two left shoes,' that's right, but it doesn't stop them thinking they're right and that's what hurts us more.
