Covid-19 has changed us, it has changed the world, it has changed how we think and feel about everything. It has highlighted mortality, behaviour and morality and tomorrow isn't guaranteed.

Therefore, moving forward, it would be prudent for us to change our priorities and purpose, so that we fit into this new changing world.

Setting goals

To set goals you need self-understanding and self-reflection helps with self-understanding. You can do more to self-reflect. In the pandemic, it is important to step back, define who you are, and decide who and what you would like to become.

Self-understanding

With self-understanding you can open yourself up to insights that can transform your life, where you can find more joy and happiness.

There are things that we should all deal with, things that we may have forgotten about, or put on the back burner, things that hurt us that we're choosing to ignore, but there are also things that bring us joy, such as a birth, or an engagement.

But moving forward, it is important to make sure that the things that hurt you don’t override the things that you find joy in.

Covid-19 and Morality

When something like a pandemic happens, and you come face to face with your mortality, your purpose and priorities can change and that's okay. It has to be, this is where you're at, you can't change what has happened, but you can change your perceptions, changing your perceptions by becoming more present, more positive and more proactive.

Making a positive difference

It is important to think about how you can put a positive slant on your life, for yourself. Covid-19 isn't something that just affects you, it's something the world deals with and that means changing the way you live your life, the way we all live our life, our lifestyles.

Covid-19 is also having a massive bearing on climate change, sustainability, the natural world, all of which the human species is responsible for. It's something we need to think about.

Moving forward, by letting go of the things that have the potential to harm you, you are making room for the priorities that can help you tap into your sense of purpose. In Covid-19 that statement has never been so true and urgent.

It is important to act now.

  1. As you have said, our previous lives are no longer ours. The problem is, people's failure to comprehend this is the case. No discussion no debate, no maybes, period.

So why would we not change our priorities and purpose and outlook and reassess to make a positive difference to ours and to others' lives?

In answer to that, as a race we're pretty crap at that, that's why. I'll never say never, but it's getting pretty close.

    1. Yes, you're right. Time is running out and society, governments and countries need to prioritise the world's outlook and reassess so that we can pull back and make a positive difference for future generations.

Completely agree with your response, absolutely spot on. Time is of the essence. We are ignoring the warnings at our peril.
