Ilana Estelle is a mental health and wellbeing advocate who combines educational insight with her personal experience of living with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities.
She holds diplomas in Counselling, Diet and Nutrition, Nutritional Therapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling, and Stress Management. Through her writing, Ilana supports others in navigating their emotional, mental, and physical health challenges.
In addition to writing for The CP Diary, her work has appeared in healthy lifestyle magazines.

I agree. It's usually better to tackle problems head on than to ignore them, as in my experience they usually have a nasty habit of catching up with us eventually.

I can understand why you would say 'it was like a weight lifted from my shoulders.' When we let go of anything that has the potential to threaten or harm us, we find peace; a stillness that wasn't there before.

Yes and true too. We can never avoid something completely. It's often there for a reason. If we're fearful of something, we must deal with it.

I recently confronted a fear I've been avoiding for many years now.
I felt a sense of accomplishment and liberation from the confrontation; it was like a weight was lifted from my shoulders.
