The world is changed, we are changed. But we have freewill to do things differently. You can decide what to do with your experiences, so you can understand your experiences with a little more ease.
Freewill can be a challenge. Not everyone will have freewill to make their choices at a time when they want to make those choices. But in the pursuit of being able to make your own decisions, you have freewill to change certain things.
You have freewill to want to do and be better. To a certain degree, you also have freewill to want to change certain aspects of your personalities, if something you're doing isn't working for you.
You have freewill to read a book, you have freewill to choose who you keep in your life, in the same way you have freewill to walk away from situations that hurt you. You also have freewill to change your beliefs and to change how you perceive your experiences.
Conclusion
If you don't like your job, you have freewill to look for another job. If you find yourself struggling in your relationships, you have freewill to do something about it, we have freewill.
Where something is fated, pre-determined, decreed, marked by fate, or controlled, you don't have freewill on those. Whatever you have freewill on, it is important to make choices, you don't later go on to regret.
We have personal freewill, but we are also limited through societal conventions and in those cases, we may not always have freewill.
So, where societal conventions dictate, their decisions need to work in our best interest.
Thanks. Yes, I agree. I do think societal conventions need to do more. That has never been more evident than it is today in Covid-19.
With precautionary measures now lifted in the UK, many people have more personal freedom than others. Being high risk my freewill to make my own decisions has now been compromised.
