Milestones are those markers in the road telling us how far we’ve come and how much we’ve managed to achieve. Given my own physical, mental and emotional disabilities, I would always struggle to reach my own milestones. Milestones shouldn’t be about whether we reach them early, or even on time.
They should be about the little things we accomplish that either we were never expected to accomplish. The little things we take for granted that we don't see as milestones, it's the little things that make a big difference. The CP Diary is that milestone.
As Mike Huckabee's quote says, it's when ordinary people rise above their own expectations who seize the opportunity. I believe it is in those times that our milestones are truly reached.
