"After adoring Ilana's first book 'Cerebral Palsy A Story', I knew I would learn much needed wisdom from this book too. The book is set out in chapters and within each chapter there are small sections with headings. The layout really helps especially if you feel there are certain parts that you want to come back to. There are parts that I've already read again because they make sense and are relatable to me and my life. I already want to share with others what I have learnt from this book as it can help those trying to heal in this world full of confusion.
Spirituality involves the recognition or belief of a connection to something bigger than us. Being spiritual is not the same as being religious. You don't have to follow a religion to be spiritual. However, I do follow a religion and practising my religious helps me be in my spiritual state. So I feel the two can be separated but can also be merged, depending on what feels right for each individual. So regardless of whether you are religious or not, we are all spiritual beings and being in touch with that part of us can bring us a sense of calm and ability to navigate the challenges we face in our lives. This is why this book is very helpful, it highlights and makes us aware of things we need in order to heal.
The healing process is different for everyone yet I feel we would all be able to understand and relate to this book and take away what we need for our individual journey. With Mental Awareness Week coming up I can't recommend this book enough.
Thank you so much to @literallypr and @ilanaestelle_author for having me on this book tour and for my free copy of this healing book."

"I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest and independent voluntary review. Thank you to Ilana Estelle and Literally PR for my copy.
Ilana Estelle grew up not realising she had a disability and was 46 years old when she found out she had been living with cerebral palsy all her life. In Spirituality, Healing and Me, she shares how spirituality assisted her in her journey towards healing.
I really enjoyed this; it's the perfect book for those who wish to grow a spiritual mindset and improve the quality of their life. It covers a variety of topics, including karma, handling anger and irritability, and how spirituality and religion are NOT the same things.
Ilana writes in a non-preachy, positive tone while providing lots of information about spirituality. She regularly refers to her personal experiences with spirituality and how it has helped her healing journey. I particularly enjoyed how this book has been designed to easily dip in and out of at any time for a dose of positivity and inspiration.
The book is eye-opening and thought-provoking, making you want to put Ilana's tips into action straight away. A perfect book for anyone at the start of their spiritual and healing journey."

"I loved Ilana’s voice, it’s reassuring, comforting, and guiding as the book opens up a whole new way of thinking about and experiencing the world. It covers important topics including enhancing our well-being, finding our inner strength, and discovering tools to enrich our lives. Everyone can take away something useful to carry into their lives and find their own path – it’s such an inspiring read putting healing and mental health at the forefront.
It’s well-structured and relays the information in bite sized portions, meaning you can easily dip in and out in future as needed. It’s a refreshing and knowledgeable perspective and Ilana’s great understanding of the subject shines through. It reveals a belief system to help make sense of every day goings-on and Ilana shares her touching journey and personal experiences imparting helpful tips and advice to guide us on our own journeys.
It’s a special book illuminating tools we can harness to get the most out of life and appreciate it and those around us. It’s hopeful and uplifting and really gets you thinking! It encourages us to ask questions and turn the looking glass inwards, to be present in the moment and not limit ourselves or let others define who we are.
The importance of mental health and putting our emotional health first is highlighted and the benefits clear to see. Self- care brings self- belief and self-acceptance which is a powerful instrument to take with us into our everyday lives.
I loved the positive message to look for the joy and view things through fresh eyes to really make the most out of life. It’s so easy to get caught up in our busy lives that the bigger picture can easily become lost. Our perspective can shape our outlook and outcomes and viewing things in a more optimistic way can make such a difference.
Learning about the psychological aspects was fascinating- looking at our psyche and unconscious and conscious mind. Thoughts turn into action, so in with the positive and out with the negative is a motto I can embrace. Shifting our focus and mindset is within our control and managing our thoughts and feelings in a healthy way is key.
Spirituality, Healing and Me, offers much food for thought. Different passages will resonate with different readers – it’s full of light, empathy and understanding. I’m glad I got the chance to read this, I know it’s a book I’ll come back to."
