Something inspirational:

Thinking you’re right all the time, can make you self-righteous and difficult for others to relate to. Why not take a step back and listen to someone else’s opinion, assess all the facts and be big enough to say you got it wrong?

There may be occasions when you need to stick with your opinion, but just ensure you look at the facts and be prepared to change your mind, in light of any changing circumstances.

  1. I usually try to see the other person's point of view and will admit if I'm wrong.

Going to college doesn't always make you right, sometimes it's common sense that does. I've also found that some of the people that I'm still in contact with; who went to college and have a degree, don't have common sense, they seem to ignore common sense.

    1. I agree entirely, it's always good to try to listen to the other person's point of view. As you have discovered education is no short cut to common sense!

  2. Some people just have not got the concept of how to be humble or how to please others. They focus on "ego centres." They think that if you are humble that means you show your weakness. That's why they say that they are always right and you are always wrong.

I remember a quote from a book I have read that says, 'those who are the strongest men are those who show the greatest humbleness.'

    1. You're right, it's not always easy, but don't you think it's a habit we get ourselves into?

We're not always keen to back down to let someone else know that they're right and we're wrong. Pride sometimes gets in the way of that.
