My accomplished achievement is achieving something, when I was expected to achieve nothing, and I couldn’t be prouder.
It’s not about my website, or my books. It’s the fact that I have turned my life around, simply by being me and doing what I am able to do, write. It's not what I have accomplished, it is proving the critics wrong.
Slow to learn, my life was never supposed to go like that. I had a disability. Where others ignored what I had to deal with, I was holding on. Unconsciously, I hadn’t given up on myself and that was important.
I had little choice but to accept what was happening and to go with the flow, it's how I survived, but I believed in 'me' and the universe believed in me, it knew I was worth more, it knew I was down, but it didn't give up.
The universe knows our struggles, for me, it knew that where others were thinking, 'oh it's just Ilana,' the universe knew it wasn't just Ilana and today my life tells a different story. The universe knows us more than we know ourselves. It knows what we're capable of, but we also need to be instrumental and want that change.
I was desperate for that change. I didn’t know how my life would change. But no matter what happens, or what your hardships are, it is important to keep the faith. Yes, I kept the faith.
