Something inspirational:

"When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years."

  1. That's a great quote.

I wonder how many of us as adults have looked back and felt exactly the same?

    1. I think most of us will have. What fourteen year old thinks their parents know anything.

We usually spend our lives having to prove that we know more than they think we know!

  2. Looking back on it, I was thinking about the same thing at that age!

My father is going to be 80 years old on July 23rd, which seems really hard to believe. I'm hoping to be able to make it up to see him around that day so that we'll have a chance to visit.

It would be great to see him since I haven't seen him in a very long time!

    1. I am sure anyone reading this quote will think the same thing Randy!

I know how you feel on your father's age Randy. I hope too that you will have a chance to visit him around the time of his birthday.

I am sure everyone will want your father's 80th to be a special day.
