A meaningful connection is something two people work for, where they both get something from the relationship. A relationship where they emotionally and mentally connect, where they share common interests, values and where they can feel vulnerable with each other, together.
How we seek meaningful connections, how we respond to each other, can result in positive emotions such as peace, gratitude, acceptance and contentment. For us to make headway and successfully it helps to have meaningful connections.
A meaningful connection is a common bond
A meaningful connection is a common bond, it’s a connection with someone you feel comfortable with, calling without hesitation, if you're feeling upset or anxious. It’s someone you call when you have something to share that is exciting.
When it's time to regroup
If the connections you have formed over the years are anything but meaningful, now would be a good time to refocus on you, on what your needs are. Good mental health is related to meaningful connections. Both are important for longevity. It is easy to get stressed, and from stress you're inviting illness in.
Working at meaningful connections
We can all have meaningful connections, and we should continue to work at those. Meaningful connections are usually formed in the early years, but they can continue at any time.
