  1. I think so too. When we are concerned for others instead of ourselves we're less likely to be selfish and immature.

  2. This is so true, but funny how some children share things when they are little. They are one step closer to being a full fledged caring person.

I remember when my son was little he shared his Halloween candy with some of his friends. I thought it was so sweet of him to pick out specific candies for one particular friend. I looked into his bag and it wasn't just the candy that he didn't like.

He gave away some of his favorites. Still thinks of others today, what a good kid.

    1. Absolutely. Yes your son sounds like such a good kid.

Always thinking of others is a good way to be, but we must also make sure we think of ourselves too. If we put ourselves out too much, other people can and most often do begin to take advantage.

We must find a balance. I believe maturity gives us that.

  3. I thought I had matured quite a bit after my daughter was born but that didn't turn out to be the case!

I ended up acting like a big spoiled baby for which I'm really not proud of. I'm trying to work on changing my way of thinking now, so that I can actually behave like a 46 year old rather than a 6 year old!

    1. Thanks Randy! It would be lovely to think having a baby brings about maturity, but it's a big step for any new parent. I'm not sure I would be so hard on yourself.

We tend to grow into maturity with age. Just because we have a baby doesn't make us mature. Maturity comes with time and experience. Having a baby can be the first step.
