As children, we don’t know whether we have mental fortitude, because we don't always know what it is, but it is necessary for success.
Mental fortitude
When you focus and execute solutions in the face of adversity or uncertainty, you have mental fortitude. It is the determining factor between those who are successful and those who aren’t. It’s the difference between those who talk about achieving success and those who persevere to meet with success.
Those who have become successful have mental fortitude. With mental fortitude you’re not easily thrown off guard when things go awry, or things don’t go your way. We can all have mental fortitude.
Although it’s easier to have grown up with mental fortitude, it can be applied at any point, although it is to our advantage if we start early. Mental fortitude is something you build, something that needs to be continually worked at. It means you’re willing to get past your struggles, to achieve your goals.
Mental fortitude discipline
It is a discipline that is built on good habits and consistency. As you develop good habits, you can change your mindset and continue to build mental fortitude. It is self-control.

I haven't thought about it before, but I guess I demonstrated mental strength as a child. I grew up independent of my parents and siblings and made my own decision day to day.
That independence certainly helped prepare me for adulthood, but equally it has meant I have had to work on my relationship with my family, as the building blocks were never there.
Thank you. This is the issue many of us have, without us even realising it is an issue. It is only when we analyse our relationships over the years that we may have struggled to find our place with family.
When you have mental fortitude you already have those 'building blocks.' It is something that should start to happen in childhood.
When you learn about mental fortitude, you are learning to navigate, mediate, learning to focus on and execute solutions in all situations, including with family. Mental fortitude is an important component of relationships.
