The UK has come out of the EU with significant difficulties and those are still on-going. The world has been hit with a pandemic and we're all having to learn to cope with its consequences. We have changed, mental health is at an all time low and we're not thinking about what that means.

We're living, but we're not really living. Our lives are restricted. Vaccinations that are essential will result in saving lives, however the Covid-19 vaccination is still not being properly considered. Even after all this time, those who have been vaccinated, including those who have taken their booster injections are still being diagnosed with Covid.

The original genesis of the Covid vaccination was to help individuals develop antibodies, in the hopes of lessening the side effects of Covid. Now it has morphed into an umbrella of layered concerns and issues, which has caused extreme misguidance and confusion.

Seeking clarity and truth

In Covid-19 times, it has become even important to have clarity and truth, and take note of just how we feel, of our emotions. We need to be able to cope, for us to come through Covid-19 with limited mental and emotional issues.

It is important to start a conversation and check in with yourself, because mental health struggles can happen at any time. Reflection is a good tool to use. It allows you to reflect on your life, so that you can see the bigger picture, and so that you can deal with any issues.

You can still be yourself in a world that is changed. In Covid-19, anxiety and depression don't care whose lives they touch. It is important to think about and deal with your mental health.

2 comments on “Mental Health, time to evaluate”

  1. I still have to stop and remind myself that we are living in a pandemic and have been for 2 years, with no signs of it abating. Given theses unprecedented times it is totally understandable that the pandemic has seriously impacted our mental health.

I read some articles a few weeks ago that said we are also living in a mental health pandemic with worsening mental health across all age groups and which will last long after the pandemic recedes.

It is so important, to do what we can to look after our mental health and I know from personal experience your book 'Spirituality, Healing and Me' can help.

    1. Thanks, yes I agree with you. Mental Health is in its boots literally. Are we really thinking about how we feel and/or understand mental health?

There is no time like the present to evaluate where we are, and our mental health. The more we do, the better choices we will make.

Given I deal with a disability, mental health issues for me have never been far away. Having been introduced to it from an early age, I was always aware what that was.

If Brexit but particularly Covid-19 has taught us one thing, it's that you can never take anything for granted. That whatever you don't deal with, will deal with you.

I really do believe that now is the time to evaluate your mental health. As you say my book 'Spirituality, Healing and Me' can very much help with that...
