After 3 years of completing my manuscript, it's become somewhat of an anti-climax, probably because I never thought it would happen in my lifetime – and as a result I have become more reflective.

At the start of the book process, I was determined. It was something that would bring more clarity into my somewhat chaotic life, living with a disability I didn’t know I had. Your support would be appreciated. My book is a fair and balanced overview of my life.

It is a deep, thought-provoking account of my life, living with something I didn’t know I had. It is both inspiring and unusual. Through the book, I use my experiences to create inspiring messages through mental, physical and spiritual health, resilience and change.

The enormity of anything we deal with, can bring a thought process we’re not always prepared for. I'm not sure how I was going to feel through the other end. It's a light-bulb moment through change and for others too, when they hopefully too realise, they have the tools to change.

  1. You have helped me more than you can imagine, by listening and reminding me that we have the tools to change. I'm sure your book will be fantastic and something I am looking forward to reading.

I have been wanting to get around to writing one myself, but it has taken me many years to even begin to make sense of what's in my mind.

Those old tapes that my parents put in there, making me feel like I wasn't ever supposed to talk about the herd of elephants in the living room, have finally settled down to a dull roar.

Both of them have passed on so I think it will finally be okay to break the code of silence and move on with my life.

    1. It is okay to break your silence and talk about the issues from your childhood. The irony is that it was always okay.

Children should be encouraged to say how they feel, even if parents are incapable of helping. This is why mental health was introduced.

I have always had the ability to think deeply about what I deal with. What I've done over the years has led to this point. This only ever came about because I needed to find out about my disability. If I had my time again I would still do the same.

I also make no apology for my success. I think if those responsible had supported and got me through what I needed to get through, I wouldn't be doing this now.

You must do what you need to do to get through, to be where you're most comfortable Randy. Your life is for you to live. You shouldn't have to stand your corner or ground to do it.

  2. You have always moved towards your feelings, instead of away from them. Now you're telling the world what happened between you and this life. Discovering the truth wasn't easy, but loving yourself brought a deep sense of worth, I'm sure.

Through this process you opened up our hearts and we healed along with you. What a wonderful book, indeed. Thank you.

    1. Thanks Tim. I'm so pleased with how it reads. In book form I am sure you will too. I couldn't do what I do without you.

When you say, 'through the process you opened our hearts and we healed along with you.' You've made my day, week, month and year. I love that what I write not only helps and heals me, but heals you and others also.

Yes, The truth is never easy but for anyone open to hearing the truth, it can bring understanding and help change perceptions, positively. But learning the truth, not only empowers us in the longer term, but it changes lives also.

When we run from the truth, we will always run.

  3. I am delighted that you have produced your manuscript. Through your blog and your experiences, we know what it's taken for you to produce your manuscript.

I am sure I speak for others also. We couldn't be anymore prouder for us to see your book in print. I am sure all of your hard work and selfless determination will guarantee its success.
