We all have a belief system that affects how we live day to day. Over time that belief system may begin to affect how we perceive and interpret what we see, feel and hear.

Negative living means a negative belief system

If we continually live with negativity, our belief system may eventually begin to see all our past, present and future situations in negative ways. It takes work for us to identify the beliefs that begin to affect our lives negatively. Through our beliefs, we can learn to identify and release ourselves from any negative thoughts.

Time to work on our feelings

The more we work on our feelings and beliefs, the more peace we can have in the longer term. Feelings remain inside of us until we learn how to challenge, direct and change them. We may replicate the same feelings and emotions we have in childhood in our adult life. We may also take our feelings and emotions with us.

Changing our perceptions

It is commonly believed that if we change our circumstances, we can be happier, but we need to think about and work on ourselves first for change to happen. That said, we can always change how we see our perceptions and behaviour, so that we see the positive and act on that.

  1. Yes, it does come down to the fact that we're the only ones who can change our belief system!

It's pretty much a waste of time trying to change what other people believe in. It has taken me a long time to figure that out.

    1. I'm pleased you've worked it out Randy. It really doesn't matter how long it takes us to figure things out, as long as we do.
