Some of us will be affected by our early years more than others. Through our background, environment and experiences, we may emotionally struggle. Our earlier experiences shape how we will go on to behave.

That can be no excuse for bad behaviour. It’s a parent’s duty to show children moral practices. It is important that whatever issues a parent has, they try to sort them out, so their children don’t have to pick up the pieces, long after they’re gone.

I believe that no matter what circumstances we're born into, or what our story is, our entrance and exit are the most important, because together they shape who we are and how others will see and remember us. There is no excuse anyone leaving behind an adverse impact. We only have to pick up a newspaper or listen to the media, to know how some of those stories end.

But no matter what we deal with, we don’t have to stay in that place. I have learned that whatever truths we uncover along the way, we must learn a more spiritual path, because that helps shapes us, our life and helps us emotionally and spiritually grow.

It is how moral we are, and the good deeds we do for others that will set the tone for our journey to enlightenment. And though our path may not always run smooth, it is still possible for us to live a moral life.
