As a child, I never thought of, or saw my disability as a personal quest, primarily because I didn't know I had a disability. Although I was angry, I was aware from a young age, that finding out would be totally off limits.

I needed to know and understand what my disability and struggles were. Any child would, but no matter the obstacles, I had to endure those to get through. It is the biggest driving force that has led to my potential in this world.

The change would bring about the understanding I needed. It wasn’t premeditated, it wasn’t vengeance, it was my needing to understand myself, my disability, and my mental and emotional struggles in school and growing up.

I wanted to understand, and my life needed to change. I didn’t plan my journey, it just happened. It was fated that my life would fall where it did.

  1. My own personal quest has been extremely complicated and confusing. There were many things I wanted to do but always got sidetracked by one thing or another.

It was paralyzing fear that plagued me as a child from being brainwashed. There may be a lot of things that I can't do, simply because I don't have the training or schooling for them, but there are many things I can still do.

My personal quest at this time, would have to be, to attempt to leave this world a better place.

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes, once we're through the other end of Covid, you can pick up on your life again. It's not always easy to pin point what our personal quest might be, particularly when we've had no support, and as you say it's confusing.

In would be better to look at what you don't want to happen and then take it from there. Because we have more time on our hands, Covid is giving us an opportunity to think about our lives more through the other end.
