I’m not sure how I feel this morning. Some of the old problems aren’t going away, just yet. Like a magnet I seem to be drawn back to my thoughts.

It’s very difficult to ignore a problem on what has been our focus for the past two years and because we’re still working through similar circumstances, the same focus is here. We go back to see the Specialist in just under two weeks and that should help us draw a line under the new operation.

I go back to and still take the view that when I have no control over something it’s best not to worry because the problem is out of my hands, but that doesn’t stop others worrying. Until there is something to worry about, there is usually little point.

With any type of apprehension we may always worry more. We tend to paint a picture in our heads, and assume that things will go wrong before we know things are going to go right. From my own experience, things usually work out in the end.

In the meantime, I shall continue to think my usual positive thoughts.

  1. You're right, things do usually work out even though we worry ourselves needlessly. Been there, done that too!

I'm glad things are getting better and hope all continues that way. I see worry as an illness of a sort. We do it to ourselves. Glad you're doing better.

    1. I do too. Thanks Lisa. I agree with you that worry can be an illness or disease. We need to stay positive.

  2. It can be difficult to not think about a problem if it's been there for a long time. I know the hardest thing for me to do is let things go.

I'm trying to work on changing that thought pattern which would make my life so much easier.

    1. I think you're right Randy. From your responses Randy I feel you are already making strides to change the way you perceive your life and your thought patterns.

      Keep up the good fight.

  3. I hope that after you've seen the specialist you can put all this in the past. You're right when you say that worrying only makes us paint pictures of the worst case scenarios in our mind.

At least then we get pleasantly surprised when things actually do work out as opposed to being disappointed when we see no reason to worry but things then don't work out.

I realize this is a weird view to have but it has worked for me so far!

    1. Thanks Anne. It's probably not so weird as it being a fact of life! I think we should just go with what generally works for us.

I tend to base my thoughts about a particular issue I'm dealing with on my intuition which has always worked for me. I am hoping they won't let me down this time.
