When rejection becomes our truth even for a finite time, redirection can help with that, redirecting ourselves into a new life. Turning something harming and negative into something positive can bring about different outcomes.
Rejection isn't personal
Rejection isn't personal. When something or someone is rejected, it is because it doesn’t fit, not because it’s not worthwhile. It is important we perceive rejection differently, learn to understand and move on from rejection and put it to good use.
Not all rejection is negative. Instead, when we see rejection as an ability to reassess, the world around us becomes bigger and our perspective becomes clearer. Rejection can lead us on to bigger and better things. When we use rejection for redirection purposes, we open new doors with more opportunities.
The many facets of rejection
We learn, grow and change. Rejection also teaches us integrity, resilience, strength and grace. Rejection is perfectly timed, it happens for a reason, rejection allows us to reassess our abilities, so that we become more acquainted with different parts of ourselves. When we take it as personal we fail.
Things happen for a reason, rejection becomes perfectly timed; it forces us to look at our situations anew through a cleaner, clearer lens. Around my disability it is exactly as I have done.
Never have I thought of rejection in this way. The way you put it rejection has befriended me, although it still reminds me of my worst days.
Those days I was tough yet so afraid, almost ready to surrender. Thankfully this blog made me remember that rejection is the very reason why I'm so successful today.
Thanks Tim. When it comes to rejection the first think we think about is failure. A human failing.
It's funny, but throughout my formative years, I knew I wasn't succeeding at anything but never saw those as rejection. I remember being rejected from college because my grades weren't good enough, but never made the connections.
I think I was lucky not to make the connections. Not making the connections saved on my mental health for sure. I never saw anything as negative.
