Salmon Teriyaki

SalmonTeriyaki-750x750

Ingredients:

2 salmon fillets

Small piece of fresh root ginger, finely chopped

1 large garlic clove, peeled and finely chopped

3 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 tbsp mirin rice wine

Splash of lime juice

Sesame seeds

2 spring onions, finely chopped

Olive oil

Method:

Heat some olive oil in a pan and add the ginger and garlic

Then add lime juice, soy sauce; mirin rice wine and maple syrup

While cooking, place a large frying pan over a medium heat and add a splash of olive oil

When hot, add the salmon skin side down and cook for around 3-4 minutes until the salmon fillets are opaque halfway up the sides

Add the sauce mix and turn over the salmon and cook on the other side for a couple of minutes, basting with the sauce so that the salmon is well coated

Sprinkle with sesame seeds and finely chopped spring onion.

Delicious with rice noodles and a cold beer. Enjoy!

  1. This is one of my favourite salmon dishes and this looks a really tasty Teriyaki recipe. I like the idea of topping it off with a cold beer!

    1. Thanks, yes I like it too. If you like fish this dish is definitely worth making. It really is delicious.

I can't say I'd top it off with a cold beer, but I'm sure many would.
