'Spirituality, Healing and Me’ - Trying to be Better 'Excerpt'

If you believe in spirituality, you’ll know how important it is to try to do better than you did yesterday, to be a better person.

We may not always think about others, we may not do right by others, and we may hurt others because we’re unconsciously hurting too. Trying to be better, means you're taking out certain traits like self-righteousness and the ego. It is a goal we should never lose sight of.

Spirituality

Through spirituality, we can all change to be more considerate of others, to be more tolerant, to learn to embrace others. Through spirituality we appreciate the little things. The little things help us to stay grounded and humble; it means we are able to focus our attention on what heals us, what nurtures us and what sustains us.

Trying to be better

Although being spiritual cannot stop the bad things from happening, by trying to be better people, you can learn how to handle yourself better, and that can help you in your personal life, in your relationships.

By practising gratitude, and challenging yourself to think positively, you're shifting the emphasis, and that can help you find a valuable source of mental balance. It’s something we should all try to do.

  1. Thank for for posting the excerpt from your book. It reminds us that we should all want to strive, to do better. It's something we can all do.

    1. Thank you. Yes, it's something we can all do, it something we should all want to do. The 22nd April is 'Earth Day.'

I would love for today to be the turning point on us wanting to do and be better. The pandemic has shown just how divided and divisive the world is.

But I still believe we can pull this back.
