You can either choose to talk about and deal with mental health, or mental health may deal with you. That's a sad fact. Things happen to change the status quo on our health, because we have a hard time talking, and/or dealing with what happens to us.

As a society, we have made a polite agreement not to talk about things and if we do, it’s not with any meaningful response. We give others what we think they need to hear, and on their part, they may not stop to question what we tell them.

The Pandemic and Mental Isolation

But in the pandemic, the feeling of mental isolation has created psychological ramifications. We have all been affected. Feeling lonely and isolated increases stress and anxiety. It alters brain function, which could, if not contained add to the threat of cardiovascular disease and a stroke.

Talk about how you feel

It's time to talk about mental health, talk about how you feel. Burying your head in the sand hurts you, is avoidable and talking can help avoid illness. It is important to say how you feel. It is important for us all to talk about how we feel.

The Pandemic and Mental Health

In the pandemic, and we're not done with it, it has never been so urgent and important to talk about Mental Health. My book 'Spirituality, Healing and Me' is perfect for Covid-19 times. All book proceeds go to charity.

  1. It's so helpful to talk about mental health, as it makes us feel less isolated. The sooner we start talking about it, the sooner we can help ourselves.

Thankfully it is now accepted that talking about our feelings is not a sign of weakness but part of taking control of our wellbeing. Your books can be instrumental in everyone's mental health and in helping us cope with the stresses of everyday life in these unprecedented times.

Everyone's mental health suffers at some point and in Covid-19, your books can be a constant help in keeping our mental health in check.

    1. Thanks. In Covid-19 both my books are perfect. When my children were younger and we visited book shops, I used to love looking through non-fiction looking for books on mental health.

I wish my type of mental health books had been available then. Based on universal understanding my books are perfect for Covid.

Where you say, 'your books can be a constant help in keeping our mental health in check,' - I hope people will take the opportunity to pick up my books. I am feeling so much better about Covid-19.

My mental health has massively improved. We owe it to ourselves to look after and be instrumental in looking after our mental health.
