Mental health should be a top priority, not just during a pandemic, but always. The pandemic has forced us to stop and reflect on our lives, and for many of us, our mental health has suffered.
It's Okay not to be Okay
It is important to remember that it's okay not to be okay, and that there is support available. We need to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and make it a part of the conversation.
"We need to change the culture of this topic and make it okay to speak about mental health and suicide." - Taraji P. Henson
I hope that through my platform, I can help to create a space where people feel heard, understood and supported. Because everyone deserves to have peace of mind, no matter what is going on in the world around them.
The uncertainty of what the future may hold, coupled with the fear of getting sick, is taking a toll on people's mental health. The pandemic has already had a significant impact and Brexit has only exacerbated the situation.
Brexit has created confusion and uncertainty
The UK's exit from the EU has resulted in a lot of confusion and uncertainty. The UK is now in the process of negotiating trade deals with other countries, and it's still unclear how leaving the EU is going to affect the economy in the longer-term. As a result, many businesses have been forced to close, and many people have lost their jobs.
All these changes are affecting mental health
All these changes are having a profound impact on people's mental health. People are worried about their futures, and many are struggling to cope with the stress and uncertainty. The government needs to do more to support those who are struggling, and to ensure that people's mental health is taken seriously.
Brexit and the pandemic have had a significant impact on the UK, not just economically and politically, but also socially and emotionally. It's time for the government to take action to address these issues and to support those who are struggling. We need to work together to ensure that we can move forward as a nation and find peace in an uncertain world.
Peace for me would be a wonderful thing, but it doesn't seem like that's in the cards for me. People don't seem to know how to treat each other, which I even fall victim to.
It's frustrating for me that I don't have a lot of support, but I'm pretty much used to it. Other people like politicians, are definitely making decisions that aren't in the best interest of the people, but realistically they don't live in the same world as everyone else.
We can only hope that people will smarten up and change their ways, while there is still time to make things better for everyone.
I couldn't agree with you more Randy. The UK's not far behind. We have our own set of problems with politicians making decisions that only serve themselves.
We had one piece of good news yesterday, about our former PM. I went to bed happier. It's been a 3-year battle for politicians to prove his duplicitous lies.
Like you, I hope we will change things, while we still can. While the pandemic has changed the way we see and interpret the world, it is important to work together and so that we can have peace.
Not to is costing us peace.
