The 17th May 2010 Marked the Beginning of The CP Diary

What began as something deeply personal became a journey that not only changed my life, but over time, helped deepen understanding for others.

When I first began The CP Diary, I was at the start of a deeply personal journey: one where I was beginning to understand a life-changing part of myself that I had never known before. It was a time of profound reflection that, at different moments, brought disbelief, numbness, anger, resentment, bitterness, growing resilience, clarity, and ultimately, a powerful sense of purpose.

This was never a path I expected to walk – but over time, it was one spirit had gently paved for me, and one I was called to take.

The CP Diary gradually became more than a personal blog. It grew into a space for understanding, awareness, connection, and shared experience – not only for me, but for others navigating their own journey of understanding.

At its heart, The CP Diary has only ever been about seeking understanding, creating awareness, and making sense of lived experiences.

Today, in 2026, that journey turns 16 years old, stepping proudly into its 17th year.

Sixteen years of memories –
sixteen years of honesty –
sixteen years of clarity –
sixteen years of deepening understanding – both personally and collectively.

What started as my way of making sense of my own world has grown into something far greater than I could ever have imagined.

Your presence, encouragement, and belief in this journey have meant more than words can ever express.

I couldn’t have done it without you.

This anniversary is not just about looking back on how far The CP Diary has come, but also about honouring the strength it took to begin, the resilience it took to continue, and the hope that carries it forward.

For the one who has spent decades living with realities that were deeply true, yet long held in silence and never openly spoken of, this journey has always been about bringing understanding, reflection, and meaning to that experience.

Here’s to continued understanding –
to greater compassion and awareness –
and to embracing whatever the next chapter may bring.

To everyone who has read, responded, supported, and stayed with me over the years – thank you. Your presence has meant more than words can express.

I truly couldn’t have done it without you.

Happy 16th Anniversary to The CP Diary

Here’s to continuing the journey.
