The CP Diary isn’t a tool or technique. It’s not about giving instruction or offering solutions. I’m not here to tell anyone how to live their life.
I write to reflect. To understand. To give myself a voice – of having to live through trauma, emotional isolation and the challenges of growing up with an invisible disability I didn't even know I had – to help me to become more aware and for the first time to be honest with myself. The CP Diary initially came from a place of necessity, not certainty. I had no idea how things were going to work out. I was just writing.
The CP Diary has helped me work through decades of questions, trying to piece together 'me' that I didn't know about or have answers to. Over time, it has become my inner change. Not a transformation into someone different, but slowly allowing me to become more of who I really am.
I don’t offer advice. What I share are my experiences – what it’s like to grow through trauma, to face life challenges, to live with cerebral palsy hardships – and let's face it we all have them. Not every journal entry is wrapped in clarity, but each one is grounded in truth.
I’ve come to understand that real transformation doesn’t announce itself. It happens quietly, in how we think differently, how we relate, how we find inner peace. But that can still be challenging, particularly if what you're dealing with isn't part of another's acceptance.
It’s not about perfection—it’s about living more truthfully. That’s what this is.
To get the most out of The CP Diary, you need to sit with it. Absorb my words. Then revisit, absorb more, and keep returning. Doing that, means over time, you will start to become familiar with the universal “rules of the road” and can begin to understand its teachings. It is important to have an open-mind.
I write broadly because life touches us all in similar ways. What I write about, we may all face at some point. These articles aren’t just mine – they’re yours too. Anyone can own them.
The blog, is not a guide in the true sense. It's a healing journey. Mine. And maybe, in some way, yours too.
If you have a moment, I invite you to explore more. Browse through categories that resonate. Every entry is a potential starting point for your own self-reflection, growth, or mental health journey.
Love and light,
